04 Dec COORDINATION VISIT TO İZMİR

The coordination visit to İzmir was realized by Tomislav Brajnović, conducting artist of the İzmir artist-in-residence program, hosted by Ayşegül Kurtel, President of K2 Contemporary Art Association, accompanied by Project Assistant Şafak Ersözlü on December 2-4, 2019.

İzmir French Institute, K2 Contemporary Art Association, Monitor İzmir, Kadifekale Mural Art Festival, K2 Urla Breathing Zone, Arkas Art Center, Darağaç Collective and Karantina art space were visited and meetings were held with their representatives. Karantina and the French Institute expressed willingness to provide space for the artist-in-residence program in İzmir. During the visit, Brajnović gave an artist talk, emphasizing the themes he focuses on, at Yaşar University and met with students and academics from Yaşar University as well as Dokuz Eylül University. Also, a meeting was held with the İzmir based artists interested in participating in the artist-in-residence program in İzmir.
