09 Aug COORDINATION VISIT TO ÇANAKKALE

Berlin based artist Nezaket Ekici, the conducting artist of the artist-in-residence program in Çanakkale, visited the city between August 7^th and 9^th, 2019, accompanied by Deniz Erbaş and Seyhan Boztepe, representatives of the project’s co-beneficiary in Çanakkale, Troya Culture Association.

In the visit, she focused on Troy Archaeological Site, the newly opened Troy Museum and Troas Region. In her visit to Troy, Prof. Rüstem Aslan (Prof. of Archaeology at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Director of Troy Excavation) guided her and gave in-depth information about Homer ad Troy. She also visited the region from Çanakkale to Assos. The information gained and observations made during the visit provided input for shaping the artist-in-residence program implementation in Çanakkale.
